Youth in Revolt is an upcoming film adaptation of CD Payne epistolary novel with the same name. Nick Twisp (Michael Cera) is a cynical sex obsessed age, 16 years, met while on holiday in a trailer park Sheena Saunders (Portia Doubleday), a spiritual and beautiful girls. The only thing that really stand in his way are the poetry category Sheena author's ex-boyfriend Trent (Jonathan B. Wright), Nick divorced parents Temperament (Steve Buscemi and Jean Smart) and Nick's Mom's boyfriends (Zach Galifianakis, and Ray Liotta). Many parts of the movie were filmed in Michigan, Ann Arbor, including Brighton, Detroit, Ferndale, Frankfort, Hazel Park, Interlochen State Park, Lake Leelanau, Madison Heights, South Lyon, Rochester, Royal Oak, Traverse City and Wixom.
The film premiered at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival September 15, 2009, among other festivals. An explanation of the scale is set on January 8, 2010.
